By utilizing four separate harvest dates, we were able to capture optimal ripeness across all aspects of our Estate vineyard. Crop loads were low, allowing the vines to dedicate ample energy towards each individual cluster. Water stress was limited and ironically or not, the resulting wine is showing abundant energy and vibrancy and flare with velvety texture and soaring red fruits.
Tasting Notes: Bright, vibrant and fresh. Rich potent nose full of cranberry, strawberry, and rhubarb. Distinguishes itself with a thick viscosity and velvety texture. Acid is firm and adds freshness. Sweet and savory spice on the finish. This wine is the epitome of a classic Dundee Hills Pinot Noir.
Murto Vineyard Is located just a few minutes down the road from Holstein Vineyard in the hills of Dundee. Their 30-year-old Pommard vines face southwest at 750 ft elevation. This was our last pick of the 2016 harvest and the resulting wine is lush, ripe, and full of personality. As usual with this site, we incorporate about 30% whole-cluster during fermentation, adding structure, texture and endearing qualities to best reflect this legendary site.
Tasting Notes: Aromatics of pomegranate, rhubarb, and fresh cut herbs. Remnants of red tea and cedar planks mixed with strawberry jam. Distinguishable elegance, grace and expansiveness. Soft and lush throughout the entirety of the pallet.
After a brief hiatus in 2015, our Barrel Select makes a return in our 2016 lineup. Three barrels, all of which distinguished themselves throughout their 16-month elevage, were selected to represent our best work from this spectacular vintage. We encourage patient with this wine. Made with 15% whole cluster and 25% new oak, this small lot is truly a gem that we could not be prouder of.
Tasting Notes: Captivating aromatics of dark red cherries and floral rose pedals. Small bit of smoke present. Earthy undertones and spices. Broad and warm upon first taste with a structed, layered, and lush mid pallet. Tension throughout. Long savory finish that demands further inspection.
We carefully selected this fruit from a north sloping vineyard that sits 750 feet above the Willamette Valley floor. Bright acidity is matched with minerality and stone fruits after aging in neutral French oak, ensuring a refreshing balanced wine. We hope you enjoy our version of Oregon Chardonnay as much as we do.
100% Dundee Hills Pinot Noir blend from Holstein and Murto Vineyards. Meant to be approachable, food friendly, and an everyday drinking wine. Receiving the same 16 months of barrel aging and same hand-crafted approach as all of our other wines because first impressions matter.
Tasting Notes: Playful and florescent nose. Herbaceous yet fruit forward with blackberry/huckleberry jam qualities. Distinguishable with cola nuances. Effortless drink-ability. Drink now or later, you won’t be upset either way.
This year’s rosé is made with 80% Chardonnay and 20% Pinot Noir from here in the Willamette Valley. Fermented in a mixture of oak barrels and stainless steel, then left to age on lees. Truly an adventurous wine that is meant to accompany you on those delightful evenings as the sun bids you farewell.
Tasting Notes: Blood Orange and shaved orange peels collide with fresh cut watermelon. High acidity, refreshingly spry and bone dry. Drink chilled or at room temperature.
